Question by Tom: Opened a 10 year old wine cabinet, all the wine inside has particles floating in it?
So I wanted to offer some wine to someone for christmas but found all my wine to have a bunch of floating things inside. I opened one bottle of red and poured a glass and it had a bit of particles, I called my dad and he said the wine is no good.
Is it still good? or not? Can I drink it? Hate wasting expensive wine like this.
This bottle i just opened is a bordeaux from 1999.

The particles could just be sediment, or bits of the cork. Strain it and taste it before throwing it out.

Wine Glass Strobist Exercise

The wine glass is on black leather chair that is surrounded by large white cotton sheet from left, right and top. Single SB-600 is placed behind the chair so that it is reflected from the sheet. The SB-600 is triggered by disabled SB-800 that is with the camera.
I am not yet completely happy with this as the full size image shows some defects and the rim light is missing.
